“You know what you are, Chelsea Jameson? You’re like a pizza. Hot… but bad for me in large doses.”
Rating: 4.5-stars. Standalone Contemporary Romance
OMG, ladies, this was one fun romance with a sprinkle of angst. A love meant to be!!
Damien is beyond swoon-worthy and his sarcastic, dirty mouth, cracked me up. The build-up to their romance was entertaining, heartwarming, and simply: cute. For me, this was a great read with a romance that was meant to be, a romance/plot which felt natural to read.
I enjoyed that this book wasn’t one of those ‘heavy’ stories, which leave you breathless (in a negative way); even though the plot and character hit too close to home, it made me laugh and happy – happy for these two to have found such deep love.
“You know why it didn’t work out with the other guy?”“Why?”“Because God made you for me.”
Yup, that’s right, He did! Penelope did it again, creating an incredibly alluring story with two characters that you can’t but love and vote for. Ward has this special skill to write novels where the character’s stories stick with you for a very long time. What’s not to love about that, right 😉 ?!?
