“For years, I’d never understood what it meant when people said they felt like laughing and crying at the same time, until now. (…) I was waking up every morning – reaching for her, rolling over in bed at night to pull her closer, but she was never there.”
Rating: 4.5-stars. Contemporary Romance. Standalone.
This is NOT an angsty book but a heartwarming, funny FRIENDS-to-LOVER novel and even though I read this on my own and not for a blog tour etc. I just have to write a quick review for you all! I loved this little book and Carter SO MUCH; it was light-hearted, funny, and oh so cute. A book I’ll be able to pick up any time to re-read it because it’ll make me happy.
Carter and Arizona’s friendship is one of a kind and I enjoyed reading how it started, their funny and oh so sarcastic conversations, to the hot and steamy encounters. The flow of the book and reading pace, combined with the characters lovable personalities, made it one joyful read for me. It had a little bit of drama, which was necessary so Carter could find his balls lol and plenty of “aaww” and “swoon” moments.
Sure it is predictable but nevertheless, it made me happy; the only thing I wished for was a longer ending because I could have read 100 more pages about these two cuties.
If you love a funny romance between two friends who become lovers, love reading about their friendship starting in 4th grade, their silly but funny conversations then pick this book up – it’s definitely a fast and fun read for any occasion. I fell in love with Whitney’s writing when meeting dirty mouthed Andrew and with Carter, she, again, won my blogger heart 🙂
