In a heartbeat, this book catapulted itself into my Top Favorite list! BEAUTIFUL, it was beautiful beyond my expectations not knowing what to expect, reading my first Amy Harmon book.
The Smallest Part is holding a very big part of my heart right now. The FEELS, ladies. OMG, so many feels – I laughed, cried, swooned and awwed. Not a single page, moment, not for a second did this book bore me or made me lose interest. Reading about The Three Amigos was beautiful, heartfelt, and insightful. I can’t scream it loud enough: PICK THIS BOOK UP!
I could plaster this review for days with quotes, I highlighted THAT much. I was in awe with Amy’s talent; she’s a wonderful writer, storyteller, and inspiration. You could feel how much thought, love, and passion she put into this book. Not to mention wisdom; I was nodding my head so much in agreement. Her characters spoke to me like no other, which made it very easy to fall in love with them.
“His lips were soft, his breath sweet, and the tips of his fingers were light on her cheeks. But it wasn’t a kiss between friends. It wasn’t a kiss goodbye. It was a desperate hello. Her heart grew and grew, filling her chest with both terror and triumph.”
This book is SO MUCH MORE than a love-triangle among best friends. Gosh, I can’t stress enough just how much more it’s, you need to EXPERIENCE it. Live with them through their pain, sadness, loss, happiness, and love – it’s a journey worth taking.
“Words are like souls. Soundless, even shapeless. But full of substance. You are getting all substance and none of the distraction …”
I know this review is very cryptic but otherwise, I’d put too many spoilers and ruin it for you.
“Sometimes it’s the smallest part that steals the show.”
